Jean-Christophe Choffray was right: "The kings will eventually end up losing" he once said...
The friendly poker director at the casinos in Spa and Namur was of course trying to counter my recent eliminations by the pair of kings that you'd eventually end up thinking that they are after me like a malediction.
Jean-Christophe was right. The kings lost. But not exactly as I'd hoped ... since its the pair of kings I had that ended up losing !
I had only been playing for an hour at noon, a hand that lays out perfectly in front of me, a pair of kings, enough to triple the initial bet for en excellent start...
There was of course no other choice then an all in. At that moment, an "american airlines" (AA) in the hands of an exhuberant italian destroy all my hopes.
See you tomorrow for event 49. The belgians are starting to arrive from all sides for this event. I saw the excellent Kenny from Gent who qualified in Namur to my AA in a final face to face with 67 and 345 on the flop ... I wish him as much success here at the right time, as well as to all my other fellow belgians, of course. What is clear in any case, is that Belgium is a little less unknow, thanks to Davidi Kitai and this first WSOP bracelet. As a matter of fact, I think he's about to come out with something extraordinary on the 6 handed.
See you soon !
